Tips to survive in an overwhelming world:

#1 Set aside just a few minutes each day to write in a journal


Writing by hand is a calming counterpoint to typing on devices, and a great way to collect your thoughts without digital distractions.

#2 Take a daily-time-out to improve your focus and reduce stress


Setting aside time to step away from social media and email will allow you to truly connect with yourself and your loved ones.

#3 When you notice you're distracted, return to the present with a deep breath


Even one purposeful inhale and exhale can re-energize us to focus on the task at hand.
