Back in high school...way back in 2009 or 2010...I forget the exact year...I skipped school and went to Bandung...Ha ha ha...

I guess my mum still did not know that I skipped school for like 3 times...So I left home for school with the uniform (seragam Putih Abu) very nostalgic...and I changed in public bathroom to a casual jeans and T-shirt and boarded an Elf (it's a car where you pay like Rp20,000) just to go to Bandung).

So...this is what it looks like...

I would leave home at 6:15 AM and came back at around 4 PM...

So my mum was not suspicious of me. At all.

I came all the way to Bandung just to go to Gramedia...

I know...what a nerd. At that time paperless book was not a thing yet. And Subang did not have any bookstore as complete and as big and as captivating as Gramedia...

So...I went there just to read.

When I browsed the bookstore...on the Lifestyle shelf...I randomly picked up this book...

It's written by Paolo Kenzo & Happy Patrickania. One from Europe and from Indonesia.

So this book has been around for about 10 years...wow..a decade...

I guess when it comes to exercise or workout what comes to mind are...

Gym...

Yoga...

Pilates...

Freeletics...

Marathon...

Weight-lifting...

But SUMI?

SUMI? It's very foreign...unheard off for majority of people...

So...the reason for me to share this is because I've seen so many people are taking their health for granted.

Milennials are careless and thoughtless about how they live their lives. (Although a trend in healthy living is on the rise too).

So...on October 30, 2019...just out of curiosity I visited his profile at https://www.linkedin.com/in/paolo-kenzo-1b34a538/

I sent him a message and he replied...(I thought he wouldn't)

So...here's our convo about SUMI...

To sum up...

#1 I choose SUMI because it's practical (no equipment needed, a yoga mat wouldn't hurt)

#2 It's customizable, meaning you can practice as little as 5' to 30' to 60'

#3 You can practice in a small room as long as it's well ventilated

#4 It suits me because I'm not trying to build really big muscles like body builders (my sole aim is to

have a healthy body)

#5 I love the meditation part. It's calming and peaceful.

#6 I can do it on my own (I don't need a workout buddy)

#7 It involves chakra, prana, and the flow of energy (a thing that I might wanna learn more in the

future)

So...how you maintain a healthy-balanced life?

I'll see you later on my lifestyle topic in the future.

Until then...

~ Peace out, beautiful readers ~
